ACTION ALERT: Washoe County Commission meeting 1/11/2011.
Senator William Raggio (Washoe SD-3 will retire on January 15th)

Agenda Item #40: Discussion and direction regarding the process and timing for filling vacancy in Washoe Senate District 3 (the board will not be filling the vacancy on January 11, 2011)

Please join us and let the county commission know that you expect them to appoint a fiscal conservative who is a proponent of free markets and limited constitutional government. Someone who realizes that their first priority in office is to uphold the constitution and the rights and liberties espoused therein. Demand they appoint someone that realizes that "we the people" is where the power should reside. Help us pack the house and and demand accountability from your elected commissioners.

1/8/11: Tragedy in Tucson. Our thoughts and prayers are with Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), her family, her staff, and the innocent bystanders injured today in a senseless shooting. Details on her condition, the shooter, or victims have not been made available, click HERE for updates.

Action is Brewing advocates education, information, and action as it applies to communicating with public servants, influencing legislation, and working towards the election of fiscal conservative representation. We are supporters of the second amendment as it applies to sport, personal protection, and recreation and do not, in any way, advocate violence under any circumstance.

We are committed to peaceful demonstration and are diligent in hiring private security for all of our events to ensure peaceful protests, protection of attendees, and to ensure the health and safety of the general public. Please join AIB in condemning all forms of violence and mayhem as we work towards our conservative goals.

Action Is Brewing!
Supporting Fiscal Conservative Candidates in NV

10/16/10: On this, the first day of early voting, AIB would like to share the cumulative results of data collected on candidates for Federal and Statewide, NV State Assembly, and NV State Senate candidates.
Action is Brewing, the original grassroots tea party group in Nevada , announces it unconditional support for Sharron Angle, US Senate Candidate for the State of Nevada. Sharron Angle, a long time social and fiscal conservative, has a consistent track record of voting against discretionary earmarks, taxes and fees during her tenure as a member of the NV State Assembly.

We believe she'll bring this same approach to the out of control spending so prevalent in Washington .

The debate between Sharron Angle and Harry Reid on October 14,2010 provided a clear and obvious choice between the competing philosophies of fiscal restraint vs. tax and spend, personal responsibility vs. a big government "nanny state" and a strong national defense vs. a "cut and run" politician. Sharron Angle's integrity, strength of character, and dedication to the US Constitution, fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency, will take these much needed values with her to Washington, D.C. on behalf of Nevada.

We chose endorsing entities across Nevada that represent the best interests of fiscal conservatives, constitutionalists, small businesses, and taxpayers. Where appropriate, we factored in voting records. All criteria are clearly outlined on www.actionisbrewing.com, under ELECTION. Not all races provided a clear cut winner, so we refrained from listing a suggested candidate in those races.

It's your job, as a voter, to be informed about the candidates, the issues, and the impact your decisions will have on the future of Nevada. We hope you find this information useful and invite you to follow the links provided below for access to much more information on candidates.

In addition to Sharron Angle for US Senate, the AIB team is confidently recommending the following candidates in Nevada*:

Statewide and Federal Races:

Nevada State Senate

Nevada State Assembly:

County:

  1. Washoe District Attorney: Richard "Dick" Gammick
  2. Reno Mayor: ANYBODY EXCEPT Bob Cashell. Consider write in candidate: Mike Van Houten / www.downtownmakeover.com
  3. Sparks Mayor: Ron Schmitt
  4. Clark County Sheriff: Laurie P. Bisch
  5. Lyon County Sheriff: Allen Veil

*THIS LIST WILL BE UPDATED AS ENDORSEMENTS ARE ADDED. CANDIDATES WERE ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES (Archived in part) TO PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION, AND AIB REQUIRES THAT ALL CANDIDATES BE HELD TO THE SAME STANDARDS TO RECEIVE OUR PUBLIC SUPPORT.

Anger Action is Brewing is a non-profit grassroots organization whose mission it is to unite displaced fiscal conservatives in Nevada through a focus on legislators and legislation using three criteria:
  1. Fiscal Responsibility
  2. Accountability
  3. Transparency

We are taxpayers, individuals, families, small business owners, and we are "WE THE PEOPLE". Politicians are in office, not in power, and they work for us. We demand that taxpayers become the only special interest group to whom our elected officials pander.

Why “Anger”?

Besides fear, anger is the only human emotion that leads directly into action, and we are not afraid. On May 9th, 2010, we began the transition from Anger is Brewing to Action is Brewing. Get Angry / Take Action
